The Best Character in 'Jurassic Park' Is Returning for the 'Jurassic World' Sequel

If you're a Jurassic Park fan, you may remember memorable moments like the T-Rex chase, "Hold Onto Your Butts," and "Clever Girl." And, if you're a Jurassic Park fan, you most certainly remember the comedic relief of suave mathematician Ian Malcolm, played by the irreplaceable Jeff Goldblum. Well, today we report good news on that last front.

The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Goldblum will return to the land of dinosaurs in the Jurassic World sequel. The upcoming J.A. Bayona-directed film will also star Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard. Goldblum not only appeared in the original Jurassic Park (1993), he also starred in its 1997 sequel The Lost World: Jurassic Park with Julianne Moore.

We're excited for Goldblum's return as he was by far one of the most memorable characters of Jurassic Park. Despite the awesome news, we'll unfortunately have to wait until the film's June 22, 2018 release to see Ian Malcolm back in action.

Until then, we'll go back to marveling at his campy Thor: Ragnarok look. Is a Goldblumaissance in our midst?
